On Friday Kj called and suggested we meet up and then travel over to a place in PC that has bowling, rollerskating, pool, the works. I was all for it. The surprise is that it was just us! I guess I've gotten use to the couples we've gotten to know around here and us all getting together sporadically. Trust me, I'm loving that I'm meeting people, but every now and then it's soooo good to just go out on a "just the two of us" date. And that we did. We ate dinner, I whooped him in bowling (136 to 103), we shot 2 games of pool in which he made up rules, so therefore my victories went undeclared and then we headed home around 11. Only downfall is that the air conditioning was out in the place so my victory dances had to be cut short so that I wouldn't pass out from heat exhaustion. hehehe. Here Kj's concentrating very hard to make a shot that won't break the 800 rules he made-up. Seriously, we just played 8-ball!!!
On Sat my parents drove down and I can't begin to say how good it was to see them! Unfortunately I didn't get any pictures of us all together (my brain must have been on an excitement overload), but you know what we all look like so picture 4 huge smiles and there you have it. ;-)
KJ and I darted away for just a moment (literally) to go on our second date... the ball! Okay so the dress didn't zip ALL the way up, but we were able to rig it so that no one noticed. The love handles may have won the battle, but I won the war! We went to the ball and had a great dinner, good conversation, and yummy carrot cake (did I already mention food???). Didn't get a chance to dance, but everything happens for a reason and maybe that zipper wasn't meant for sashaying on the dance floor. ;-)

Lastly I finished my sister's apt. warming art. Actually mom and I finished it Sunday after dinner. Not bad for having no original plans and using materials I had on hand. I'd say that the frame definitely took a step up to improvement!

So it's Monday and I can't wait to see what this week holds! Oh yes- Sidebar: Watched 3 movies this weekend.
1) Inside Man with Denzel Washington - The plot was awesome, but I'm NOT a Spike Lee fan and since he directed it, there were many things I felt could have been done differently.
2) The Punisher - Gruesomely violent (a no-watch for my dear colein), but a really good movie. Reminds me of the movie where Steven Seigal wakes from the coma to avenge his family's death.
3) Match Point - This one threw me for a loop and I found it more disturbing than anything else. The plot is definitely unexpected, and I can't say it stunk b/c even with the opera and British accents, kj said it wasn't that bad. Just demented in my opinion...
lots of lovin!

Ahh.
1.I have read that it is important for married people to date. You know I am all about reading for advice these days.
2.I love the picture of you and KJ at the ball. He is wearing a suit, I am sure that you put this one together for him.
3. The picture you did for Brittney is fabulous, she had better hold on to it, because if I get my hands on it she will have to come to AR to get it off my wall.
4.Finally, tell your parents to call my parents and give them the speech that they need to come and see their daughter in NWA.
Luv you tons...
Wow!!! What a wonderful weekend. That is so much excitement in a 3 day period, im not sure how you could handle it:)
I think dates are very important for married couples. Keep that up. I also know what a good bowler you are. So keep that up as well. Did KJ pay this time for the bowling???(LOL)
I love the dress. Yall looked great. I think thats great that yall get to do that every year. Cause I know how you love to dress up!!
I know it must have been wonderful to see your parents. How are they? Did they love the house?? How did Brit like her picture? Nice job on that, by the way. Love you girlie!!!
Thanks for watching out for me, I think I have all of my friends on the lookout for anti-colein movies these days. God love John, he never gets to see anything gorey anymore...
The picture DEFINATELY took a step up. I'd say a leap. Maybe a catapult. You did a great job on it and I'm sure your sis will love it.
And you guys look very cute in your evening attire and newly painted room!! Seriously, i thought it was a portrait wall at first ;) I'm glad you guys had a good time!
Ah ha!!! I have finally figured out how to use this thing! I love this blog thing. I never knew what blogging was until I read this one. (I thought it was another word for junk email). Hmmmm, this is neat. A great way to keep in touch w/o the phone calls (because I am horrible at doing such). You are bold for doing this. But hey, I might give it a try. I can give you another reason why Florida isn't so bad...Friends like to come and visit. Save some home improvement projects for me. Hopefully Jai and I will be down soon. Besides, time is ticking, I need to get there before the hurricanes start. Ooops I guess I just mentioned a reason why Florida is soo bad! Anywhoo, talk to ya later.
Also, I guess i still have some learning to do, b/c I originally posted this comment on the wrong page!!! The Lord is still working on me. He told me I didn't have to ride the short bus this morning, so I must be showing sign of improvement. LOL!!
One more thing... pretty dress.
LOL!
Tericka! - Good to have you girlie!
Don't fret, I'm on a computer 247 and the Bloggin thing is still new to me. Bold nothing, I just post the tidbits and it reminds me of the full stories to tell in person. This way I don't feel like I'm so far and disconnected from everyone.
Visit soon!
Yo Rozzy!
First of all, I have to give KJ props on the barbeque... I'm sitting here, hungry at 8:13 in the morning, fantasizing about bbq. What a shame. Prop 2, I have to give props for KJ wearing a suit.... yes a suit... I had to look twice cause I couldn't believe it, but I know you had something to do with it. Now your turn, I have to give you props on the lovely dress and of course the lovely art of concealment and force fitting. You handled it like a pro girl. They need to make that a sport because I know I would win. Bowling on the other hand is not my calling. I always talk the most NOISE when I play with Roc (his sister & cuz) because I know that I 'm gonna lose, but it's the fear I put in them that's fun. Everyone's usual score is around 100-200 and of course mine is 40-60, but that's ok. I get a point more everytime I go, so I say by three more times I should be in the 43-63 range. hahaha! But tell your parents and Brit that I said hi!!!.. oh and KJ. Tell him Roc asked about him too.
Oh and I had a wreck two days ago that I have to tell you about. I'm ok though!
Luv ya Rozzy-Roz!
--i'm jealous...hehehe...you did have a fun filled weekend...always good to spend some quality time w/ your honey...you and mrs. gracie did great on Brittany's gift...very cool idea!!...that's a great pic of you and KJ...if you need any more proof that you all make a cute couple...there you go :-)
